@BrotherAlpha I hate the stifling effect! Even Top Grade masks are not guaranteed to be 100% effective. There really should be NO gaps in a mask to allow for more air flowing in..or out!! And a piece of cloth that has no filter and you could easily blow through (like to flicker or extinguish a candle) is something that a lot of air particles can be sucked up through. Holding your breath when passing people or through a particular area isn't really such a bad Idea.. Still, passing through the air allows for the virus to land on clothing, shoes, purses.. clean Air is key! The poorer the air quality, the more dangerous.. There are medical approved homemade mask tutorials online, a few I saved on my profile... They are not N95 masks but they offer some protection for us and help to extend the reuse of First Responders and Hospital N95 Masks. Those who sew can call their hospitals to see if they are in need. (or sew some and share with others..)
