  2. 7:30 am. yesterday, my family started their bs, whining in the family group chat. "This is such a sad day for America." "This is so unfair." Yada Yada Yada. But I was the bad guy for not agreeing with them. They can have their opinions but I can't have mine. But they want freedom. No, they only want freedom for people who think exactly like them. They hate illegal immigrants. Complain about them all the time. My own cousin was denied citizenship in Canada, even though she married a Canadian. Do you think she came back home and accepted their decision?? NO. She worked illegally under the table, and my whole family sympathized with her (rightly) about her boss mistreating her because of her illegal status. But my cousin wasn't a poor person escaping violence, gangs, or trafficking. She was a middle-class woman who just WANTED to live in Canada. Regardless of what Canada had to say about it. It was okay for her to do that in my family's eyes. But it's not okay for poor people to sacrifice everything to get a better life or give a better life to their child(ren). I'm so disappointed in them.

Don't forget that not that long ago in human history, women weren't even allowed to leave abusive men and it was seen as okay to hit your wife. My Grandma, who is in her 80s, has lift through both school segregation and women not being allowed to have their own bank account. The united states did not mandate the bank's had to offer their services to women until the 1960's! There are a lot of abusive men that have had their lives ended by the women they abused for far too long. That doesn't make them a victim. It means they were served justice. You don't have the right to abuse someone. And if you keep doing it, you invite this possibility of being murdered in self defense.

  15. I hope other states don't pick this up. I have frozen eggs I donated in my state. I have no way of knowing if any still exist, or if they have all been used. But the laws changing like this makes me worried.

  20. I was assaulted and the cops told me I couldn't do anything because I poked her in the chest before she assaulted me. I literally just poked her but in America that's reason enough for someone to beat you up, bite you, and rip your hair out.

  21. @ogami1972  speaking the truth isn't denigrating. It can not be. If you don't want people to be upset when they hear of your actions, act better. Mother Teresa was actually a terrible person who repeatedly admitted to not caring about the poor, sick, or dying. She only cared about converting people to her religion and making money for the church. She did not provide health care to any of the people she took in. She kept them sick so she could get them to convert before passing. She kept them in pain because she thought suffering was godly. She made tons of money for the church, and a decent chunk of it was never accounted for. She was an awful person who made people suffer. People who would have been far better off without her.

  22. If y'all made me president I would make lobbying highly illegal. I would also mandate term limits and age limits for all government positions. I would make it illegal for them or their direct family members to put money into the stock market while being in the US government. I would mandate that all government officials make federal minimum wage and get the bare bones of their state's health insurance that is given to the poor. This way, they will be incentivized to make sure minimum wage and state insurance are both good and decent.

  28. I know a guy that works for a non profit that "helps the environment" I don't know who he works for but he flies more and takes more vacations to Disneyland than anyone I've ever known. He works from home and has to fly into the office at least once a month. He really thinks he does more harm than good but I don't see how.

  32. We don't need more condoms in apartments housing needs to get cheaper. My grandma bought her first house for seventeen thousand dollars. That same house is going for over a hundred grand today. Society is only done more productive since she was my age, there is no reason houses in costs so much more than they used to.

  36. Yeah, people don't really appreciate how things can happen so easily. My mom and her man used to throw things at each other occasionally (they've sought help and gotten worlds better). One time, he angrily threw an empty plastic bowl at her. So she angrily threw a nearly empty plastic water bottle at him. Like just the cheap disposable kind. And it bounced off a table and came up and hit him in the lip. There was barely an inch of water in the bottle, but it made it heavy enough to split his lip right open. They had to have it glued back shut at the hospital. From a nearly empty water bottle. A thrown sharp knife could do so much damage.

Because WE as a country do not keep track of them and make them renew their visa or leave. That is not a border problem it's a paperwork problem that could easily be solved if they simply did anything.

  44. 12:30 my mom doesn't hit people, but if you hit her or throw things at her, she will physically defend herself. Her man has found that out twice before they got help. They dont throw things or hit each other anymore. They've come a long LONG way. But if you just looked at the medical records, it looks like my mom is the abusive person. He would get physical with her, and then she would defend herself. And he would be the one that needed to go see a doctor. So you can't judge a situation based on just injuries. I was present for some of their old fights. He's a stocky, built dude, and she's small. When someone is so much bigger and sturdier than you starts getting physical with you, you have to defend yourself any way you can.

  49. My family thought we were mostly German. To the point my grandma was afraid to look up our history because she didn't want to be related to any nazis. Turns out we're not very German at all. A little bit, but certainly not a lot.
