Hello DDS! Sabayon is a Gentoo based distribution but uses systemd, has Google Chrome as the default browser and doesn't like if you try to mix Entropy (the GUI Rigo or the CLI equo) with Portage (CLI emerge). A much better choice is Calculate Linux which uses OpenRC and emerge. It gives you the choice to install from source if you wish so. It gives you the choice between Alsa and Pulseaudio during the installation and also between Nvidia, Intel or AMD drivers during the installation! In the future they will have Porthole and/or Pamageli installed Another choice but limited to LXQt is Redcore which has three modes: binary, hybrid, source. Redcore has a GUI package manager too: Sisyphus which I favour by far over Rigo. Best regards.

@DDS No, you have more options with Calculate. If you want to install Calculate Linux on 50 machines in an enterprise Calculate can handle that scenario from their servers. The flavours you'll find are: Cinnamon, KDE, LXQt, Mate and XFCE. Don't forget to choose the latest one: https://mirror.koddos.net/calculate-linux/nightly/ and click on the folder with the most recent date! They have their own installer so you might watch some videos. Adrien, the French dev of Calculate, has done several videos about it: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLjAHiXDnp3JkzislArFnMRCVEMDSUa5Xb Or dzme in English: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r6hcAncYnYY&index=58&list=PLChx-GmI-Z515wAhyiF49Sdf2Vl4ept1B&t=0s If you have any problem just contact me!
