  1. The French tried with the Richelieus. The end result was that the Richelieus had horrible fucking dispersion (it’s really them and not the Littorios, whose own dispersion issues were largely fabricated postwar, that need to be criticized for it) until the US made non-poison-gas 15” shells for them that worked fine, not that it was ever going to matter.
