@kaimarmalade9660 The overthrow of the world system of capitalism began in 1917 with the Bolshevik revolution. The establishment of a workers state and workers and farmers power. Today revolutionary Cuba continues the exercise of workers state power. The working class is bigger and better organized in every country on earth.

@kaimarmalade9660 Obviously your a middle class intellectual who is happy with the status quo. If capitalism was working as well as your friends down the academic hall claim then Trump would not even have become who he is. Capitalism is in a world wide crisis of its own making and their is no reason to believe it can be solved within the confines of capitalism and its requirements of private property and profit maximization. What the middle class fears most is loss of labor privileged. You believe you live in a capitalist meritocracy and you are cream that rises to the top. The truth is the academic must sing the praises to capitalism to become the academic and continue that praise should he wish to remain in that expensive university chair in which he sits.

@kaimarmalade9660 We spent the last ten years traveling/living in a trailer in campgrounds. I bet you could get paid to do a study to find out why some people would rather be working outside rather than sitting inside scribbling on paper. Does it ever dawn on the Adam Smith Crowd that some people don't care about their art collection?

@doords The origin of all profits in capitalism is the unpaid labor of the production workers. The banks are only a storehouse of capital they do nothing productive in and of themselves to produces the interest they collect and payout. They invest and make loans only because they see profits ahead. Finance capital is the most parasitic of all capitals since it does nothing but demand a return on investment.

The problem is the capitalist private property system itself. The struggle to replace it will come from the exploited production workers not the capitalist government instituting reforms.
