@Si_Mondo We aren't talking about the British Labor Party but the 1930's NAZI party. The German Social Democratic and Communist parties in the early 1930 had the votes and membership of the working class. The NAZI's built their party upon thug attacks on Jews, Communists and Social Democrats. "Running a business doesn't automatically mean one understands economics or how it interacts with society." That's why the ruling classes have been defeated in communist revolutions like Russian and Cuban revolutions. Why they had to tolerate the trade unions in all the advanced capitalist countries post WW2. They are in crisis now because its every boss class and boss for himself.

@robertmartin995 Capitalist development has two major contradictions one is it creates ever smaller greedy ruling classes based in nation states which must compete in a world market leading to trade war and then real war. The other is the natural tendency of profit rates to decline as industry becomes more capital intensive and less labor intensive. What's been growing in the last 50 years is all the new productivity that has been going to the bosses while wages have stagnated. They decline of the American Investors Empire and the rebuilding of Europe, Japan and the Capitalism with Chinese characteristics sets the stage for world war three if a socialist revolution does not in the mean time intervene. The mismanagement of surplus by the Stalinists in the Soviet Union and China does not mean that those economies did not grow. That is just a wives tale told by the fake economists of Western Imperialism. The biggest decline in those economies came when they converted to capitalism. The Stalinists did what they accused Trotsky and his supporters of returning to capitalist relations.

@robertmartin995 You've got a whole layer that survives much as the bureaucrats in the Soviet Union did. That whole cynical layer of educated rent seekers doers nothing but stand guard on the workers to defend the profit system. You can't operate without that layer giving orders and counting every penny. You have to pay them more to maintain their loyalty otherwise they become "corrupt" just like those who profited from the early days of the crisis of 2008. During every crisis you seek to make us pay for the failure of your profit system. Socialist revolution is not about feeding a new bureaucratic layer but making the workers masters of production by raising their cultural level. You can see in the world today that the capitalists' learned nothing from world War one and two as they head towards world war three.

Once again using fascism as a political swear word. Like healthcare education does not lend itself to the ability to continually cut labor time with machines. Teachers going on strike is more common now despite anti strike laws. The number of private schools is small because with capitalism education is a privilege. The idea that you get something for nothing by investing is wrong. Buying and selling in other words trade produces nothing in itself. All the bourgeois economist like to obscure this basic fact with things like how money grows in a bank. Inflation is caused by constantly adding money, creating debt, to prevent prices from falling towards the cost of production. You don't just wave a magic wand to make products. Of course they'd like to prove capital is producing something to justify their massive profits and consumption. Like Bill Gates spending 9 million a year on carbon neutral jet fuel for his personal jet.
