Revolution is not a rugby game.

The United States invaded every Latin American country in the 20th Century at least once. The Spanish Empire was defeated in the Spanish American war after which the United States became a new Imperialist power not a liberator.

@Luciano Becchio To bad you can't back up that claim. Twenty thousand died to get rid of the US puppet General Batista. LBJ and Nixon killed millions in Vietnam using carpet bombing, chemical warfare, and napalm. They of course don't count in the head of the anti communist. If you were fighting a war against communist ideology and not for property and control you would be using books not bombs. Your probably real proud of Jimmy "Human Rights" Carter building homes. What kind of "Human Rights" leader votes for Pol Pot in the UN and supplies him with aid filtered through the Royal Dictatorship of Thailand. Carter is drenched in Blood.

Why are the English Royals not called Murderer's?
11
Its been working in Cuba. Like Trotsky I defend the underlying economics not the political leadership or policy. Are you defending Churchill and the famines caused by the Democratic Imperialism of the British Empire? How about the opium war launched by the British against China? Or the 700 years of British rule in Ireland? This guy has some nerve to call 'Che' a murderer when the British Army spent the last half of the twentieth century occupying Northern Ireland killing at will.
11
More like this: Che to Batista Policeman: "Did you murder and torture prisoners." Policeman: "I was only following orders." Che: "To the wall."
9
@chairde People like you spout meaningless nonsense which is why you will be defeated in the battle of ideas. Capitalism is based in strong nation states. The general laws of capitalism lead it to a monopoly of capitalist owners within those strong nation states. For capitalism to continue capital must be exported outside of the original capitalist states for the return of a profit. This leads to a world market competition that treaties and 'International institutions" can not contain which an internal police and military can usually contain. Trade war replaces friendly international competition, war begins to replace trade war and world war replaces regional war. The capitalist may not like war but war likes him just as he likes profits.

@Spartanwazhere1 How you doing admiral? Still waiting for the chance to order the launching of nuclear ballistic missiles from submarines? I bet you can't wait to get that 22 Billion dollar contract for nine Virginia class submarines fulfilled.
7
You read a novel and now you know everything. A novel is a work of fiction. It's not the same as history. Their are published accounts of life in the Soviet Camps by Left oppositionists. They didn't get the same play in the capitalist press that Solzhenitsyn did. Capitalism did not overcome feudalism without war and killing. The English executed Charles I and the French Louis XVI along with a series of civil wars that would make the new merchant and capitalist class the rulers of France and England. The New England industrialist found that the had no choice but to defeat the southern slavocracy in a bloody civil war. These are the reasons Marx said Capitalism came into the world with Blood and Dirt seeping from every pore.

US policy began by Mr. Human Rights Jimmy Carter after losing the Vietnam war and wanting to put a fresh face on US Imperialism accused "Castro" of holding Political prisoners. The Cuban government affirming that the building of Socialism was voluntary opened the Port of Mariel to allow anyone including prisoners to leave. Mr. Human Rights put them in his Atlanta Penitentiary. Those new political prisoners rioted took over the Penitentiary demanding hearings that would allow them to stay. The US ended the boat lift and wrote new laws prohibiting Cubans that were found in the open sea from entering the US and instead returned them to Cuba. However if you could avoid the US Coast Guard and make it to dry land all you need to do is claim you were a political refugee to receive a Green card.

@chairde When ever a rich oligarchy loses power it's a case for many tears. All you did is stop buying oil? That's always the claim isn't it. You fire a whole shift and then claim you had to do it. The workers are told "you are on your own" and you have no responsibility. That is the very essence the capitalist ruling class responsibility. They never risk anything but a bag of gold. We however are irresponsible because profits stopped flowing. You idiots don't deserve to rule.
6
@GinEric84 Executing war criminals like Batista's police is a service to humanity. Would you want a man who removes eyeballs and uses field telephones on the genitals living next door? Oh I forgot John Burge head of Chicago Police "Midnight Crew" l lived next door to you. Silly me Burge escaped with the statute of limitations while his victims are still awaiting retrial.
5
@GinEric84 Twenty thousand died to get rid of Batista. Where's your concern for them? I suppose they should have exported these murder/torturers to Miami where the could have been used for the Giron invasion? The victory of the revolution required justice. If they had no trials and executions street justice would have ensued and the US would have said they needed to invade to restore order. Did Che get the nicety of one of your Bourgois trials in Bolivia? In fact he got no trial what so ever and the order was to make it look like he was killed in battle. Why? Because you could not afford even a ten minute trial where the defendant could speak. Che was suppose to die and disappear for all time. You have murder trials and executions of common criminals. The state gets unlimited resources. The criminal gets a drunken real estate lawyer. Yet when US Troops engage in massacres the criminals are set free. Releasing the 'Collateral Murder" video had Congressman calling for the death penalty for Brian Manning. Where those in the video ever punished? Lt Calley orders the murder of a whole village yet he gets a Presidential pardon. The Brass accidentally reports a massacre with Operation Speedy Express before realizing the lack of captured weapons comes nowhere near the number killed. You should fix your own mess in the Greatest Country in the World before talking about other countries.
5
@moonwalkerjntu One might note that all of Batista's murdering police and military got a trial that meet WW2 war crimes standard something Batista's police and military seldom gave those captured by their police and military. After Che was captured instead of a trial of any sort. The order came down from either General Barrientos or Washington to execute but shoot low such it looked as if he was killed in battle and not executed without a trial than cut off his hands to prove it was him.
5
Actually you have no clue. Solzhenitsyn born in 1918 came along after the 1936 to 1938 Purge trials of the old Bolsheviks. He was a Red Army Major and in 1943 came into conflict with Stalin over liberating the Warsaw Ghetto which was in open rebellion. Stalin insisted that while they were only about 20 miles away that the advance be halted. Why? Because Stalin feared any new revolutions which could oust him from power. I don't object to Solzhenitsyn writing a novel. I object to people who think that their was some other course besides the October revolution that would not end up with a fascist dictatorship like Italy under Mussolini in 1922. The people purged and murdered were loyal communist not some group of capitalist entrepreneurs seeking a restoration. They were all accused of Trotskyism despite weather they voted with or against Trotsky in their past and being fascist agents of Hitler.
5
I am sure you want to talk about the cult of personality of Stalin and Mao but completely ignore the British cult of personality around the Queen and the royal family. Isn't the British Empire a shining example you would like the world to emulate. When Churchill heard of famine in India he asked. "Why isn't Gandhi dead yet?"
5
How many factories did Stalin or Mao close and move elsewhere for cheaper labor and bigger profits? Its you the factory owner will try and close your factory or move it elsewhere if your not raking in enough profits. Its you the factory owner who will try and break a strike with police, the miliary and fascist goons. The workers only need keep the factory running and producing if its necessary ignoring the commands of you the profit seeking boss. If you don't want to work. Than you the profit seeking bosses can go on strike. While we completely ignore you.
5
@chairde Explain what? The goal of American Imperialism in Venezuela is to privatise the oil Industry. Give the gold mine back to US investors. Install a government that will end all aid to Cuba. Return all power to the oligarchy. Pardon the Chavez Coup plotters and enablers hold up in Miami as human rights dissidents.
5
@chairde US Imperialism disguised as the United Nations is still at war with Korea. The DMZ is merely a truce line. A peace treaty has not been signed. US Imperialist power has been waning in Korea the original US puppet was driven from power getting a CIA plane for exile in Hawaii for the rest of his life. Military dictators replaced Military Dictators for many years. As anti Imperialist protesters drove out one Military Dictator after another.
5
@musicaquecalma4134 The lies come from Washington and Radio Marti. Cuba is under a cruel blockade imposed by Washington and opposed by almost every other country in the world.
5
@36inc (Respect Free Speech) Not really after all there are 10,000 foreign students training at the Latin American School of Medicine in Cuba today. All at no direct cost to the student and Cuba has a 9 to 1,000 ratio of doctors to the population while the US has a 2.3 ratio 1,000 of doctors if anything that shows that the goals of Che are still being kept alive. All Cuba and every other country in the world ask is an end to the Cuba Embargo by the US. Instead hypocrisy and double standards come from Trump in the midst of a world health crisis accusing the Cuban Doctors on foreign health missions of terrorism and being slaves to Raul Castro.
4
@36inc The secret to US Imperialism is the use of local oligarchies. It makes no difference if they dress like the Saudis or wear a dashiki. What's important is the business (economic) political and military relationships. American investors in a Venezuelan Gold mine don't want to lose that investment to Venezuela and US courts have ruled in the US Investors favor. The same goes elsewhere do you think the US Investors want to lose that huge coppermine in Chile or banana and coffee farms in central America? They're much happier with sharing resource profits with oligarchs than losing everything.
4
@36inc You think I'm afraid of you or your threats? Why don't you go get a life. I've already been shot in the back by the cops. I remained conscious that time. I was sucker punched once. Knocked out for 3 days in the hospital. I'm part of the Left Opposition Why should I be afraid of you? A petty bourgeois fool who thinks they know it all? Give me a break. Your lucky if you can scare a leaf on a tree.
4
Like everything else said by US Politicians there is no evidence that Fidel or anyone else in the Cuban government lived like Trump. Fidel spoke at La Plaza de Revolution in front of huge numbers of the Cuban people without bullet proof glass and all kinds of security measures that are required for US Presidents. The people of Cuba don't live like they did before the revolution with swollen bellies and no Doctors in the countryside under the gangsters who severed the big landowners.
4
The Royal family is still playing the role of a personality cult while Stain's ended with Kruschev who spilled the beans in his not so secret speech to the 20th Congress of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union in 1956.
4
You want me to answer a theoretical question. i will explain it like this. No one was told after the Cuban revolution that they could not be an administrator. What they were told is the could not use their position to exploit others. Many of the upper class and middle class left for the US right after Batista and his cronies ran away. They all assumed that a US Invasion would quickly defeat the new Revolutionary Government and return back their land and private property.
4
You can't use a factory all by yourself. If you start using violence to protect your private property what do you expect? You get sent away to prison for using violence not a disagreement. The workers decided they wanted Trump as President and a majority of the ruling class wants him out. If we elect a Socialist President and Congress, assuming you don't cancel elections or have already started a civil war, we can accomplish everything we want changed in a legal and constitutional manner. Your system uses police and military violence to protect your private property both internally and externally. How many people died because the US/UK decided to invade Iraq? Your political economic system has been creating wars and world wars since its inception. The socialist/communist leaders who opposed and protested WW1 and WW2 in the US found themselves sent to jail. The FBI's cointelpro program was set up to specifically target any kind of decent that Hoover said needed to be stopped. You always want to scare people with Stalin or Mao yet you completely ignore the suffering of the people living under the Czar or the Chinese warlords. Czarists troops mowing down peaceful protestors. Young worker and peasants being sent to the front with no training who had to wait for someone to die before they got a rifle. An estimated 20 to 30 million dead during the Taiping rebellion. Japan tested biological warfare on the Chinese people.
4
Maybe you can explain why the US Prison and Probation system holds the biggest number of prisoners exceeding even those in Stalin's gulags? How about you explain why there are 50 to 60 thousand homeless living on sidewalks and in allies in Los Angeles the second largest city in the US. If your economy is so great why the homeless population? Got any pictures of homeless people in Havana?
4
@chairde Chavez was a fool for trying to be all things to all Venezuela. Fidel Castro didn't make that mistake. When the Yankees launched their invasion he declared the revolution socialist and nationalized them down to the nalis in their boots. Once Chavez was back after the coup he should of done what Fidel did. Nationalize everything and arrest any US colabertors.
4
@carlosramos5256 Its a British Imperialist propaganda video.
4
@GinEric84 The trials were conducted before the International Press with the same standards as used at Nuremberg. The Cuba "Quilt of Genocide" was withdrawn because too many on it were either still living or died of natural causes. So called Human Rights organizations can't agree on the number of executions after the revolution. For Amnesty International the number is less than 300 for the US CIA world factbook its 3,000 for the Black Book of communism it estimates 15,000 to 17,000. Instead of counting the number of executions in the US how about we use estimates based on the number in Texas and the population of Wyoming?
3
@GinEric84 The CIA man "Félix Rodríguez" at the place of execution says otherwise. He said he looked like a beggar not that he was a beggar. Nor do his recollections support the begging for his life claim. His last words "Shoot coward you are only killing a man." Getting yourself killed when you rifle is jammed is a luxury most guerrilla bands can't afford. If you are captured you can also be set free. Bolivia was ruled by a military dictatorship at the time but under the influence of Moscow the Bolivian Communist Party refused to join into a guerilla war. The true coward of that era was the Brezhnev leadership in Moscow. Dong anything that wasn't a direct benefit to Moscow was off the table.
3
@carlosramos5256 Hitler lead Germany into destruction and a military defeat. While Fidel kept the US Imperialist at bay and defeated the American imperialists allies the South African racists at Cutio Cunavale.
3
What happens to you and your factory after the revolution depends upon how you and your factory workers are getting along. It also depends on where the factory is located. If it's in the US than running away and hoping for an invasion is an unlikely option. Where as that might be an option in the UK or Europe. If a US General decides to cancel elections and make himself President that may precipitate a civil war.
3
Sure the working class has won better conditions in the Imperialist nations which drives immigration in their direction. Plenty of people risked their lives to escape European Fascism. FDR refused asylum to a whole ship of Jewish refugees sending them back to Europe. Assata Shakur was granted political asylum and remains in Cuba.
3
Maybe you ought to look at the medical testimony by a doctor. Along with Hoovers drive against a "Black Messiah." The FBI's go ahead for the assassination of Fred Hampton and Mark Clark. How many times was she accused and found not guilty? The same FBI that has been trying to bring down Trump for their capitalist masters like you.
3
If all you own is a single factory your more likely to lose it to the bank in the next economic downturn than a revolution years away. Go ahead and keep worrying I'm sure you love to play the role of the poor capitalist just a few dollars away from bankruptcy.
3
@36inc The US Imperialist and their friends in the oligarchies talk about bringing "democracy" by use of carpet bombing, agent orange and napalm against people who voted against Imperialism in Vietnam and Korea. They kill without mercy including not just small children but even babies. Yet they claim to hold some kind of moral high ground.
2
@36inc (Respect Free Speech) Che's goal of One, Two, Three Vietnam's was the goal of an internationalist. If the Imperialists were tied up in to many wars at once than that would become militarily and economical unsustainable even for a Goliath like the US.
2
@musicaquecalma4134 I don't read or speak Spanish. I got sick of listening to the posturing of Yoani Sanchez. According to Western Media who couldn't issue enough accolades she was the one women who was telling the truth about Cuba,. Last I read she sits in a Mami University Professors chair as a "Presidential Scholar" nor smelling the ink of a pressroom she once claimed to be her destiny.. She's a big zero. Her confidence lies in educated "Cuban Professionals" probably people like you wanting the incomes of the west.
2
@highcouncil1302 Ya High Council just the user name shows your desire to make yourself into a small ruling group which is what a High Council is. Should we bow down to your highness? If your going to slander Cuba's leaders with an unprovable slander at least get Fidel's brothers name right its Raul not Raphael. I guess they stopped slandering Fidel and Raul as billionaires because that would make Trump possible less successful so now the slander has been lowered to millionaires.
2
@highcouncil1302 (Respect Free Speech) Hows that "High Council" working out? Is your council getting a lot followers? After all you can't have a High Council without a lower class or caste. Every time you launch insults that makes all that more interesting. If Raul is just a millionaire why doesn't he just take his loot and move to Miami? Certainly Trump has no problems with the Royal Saudi's who are billionaires.
2
@highcouncil1302 (Respect Free Speech) Ah so that's the reason Forbes magazine reduced him from being a billionaire to a millionaire after all a Billionaire makes laws instead of having to follow laws. How are you doing with your "High Council" getting any volunteers to live under the rule of the "High Council".
2
This video starts with the lie that Fidel Castro brought the world to the brink of Nuclear War. No it was the Democratic Imperialist Kennedy that did that. At no time has Cuba possessed nuclear weapons or have nuclear arms stationed on Cuban territory. Kennedy had SAC B-52 nuclear armed bombers in the air 24/7 and US nuclear mussels in Italy and Turkey. Its classic propaganda of turning the victim into the criminal. The Democratic Imperialist Kennedy's dictator Batista was overthrown and Cuban independence is something the Democratic Imperialist Kennedy and his successors can not tolerate.
2
Pinochet was nothing more than a US/UK puppet.
2
Nothing but Democratic Imperialist propaganda from the very beginning.

@Bodge18 No, They're part of the propaganda effort to keep capitalism alive in the UK. Otherwise they'd be complete separated from state power and taxed not just in the UK but Canada, Australia, and New Zealand. They along with the peerage are just so many fossils kept alive for use against the working class. Those elected to the English Parliament and who serve in the British Army swear an oath of allegiance to "...Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth ..." No one in the UK system swears allegacy to anyone or anything besides the fossils called Kings and Queens.
1
@Bodge18 When Che carried out the executions of those who were Batista spies in the 26th of July's guerilla army or those who were tried and convicted of war crimes something Bastas police and army seldom did you call that murder. So what do you call it when the British army shoots down peaceful protestors in 1972 Bloody Sunday. All sworn to defend the British monarchy! Long ago it was said by Thomas Paine that the King need not speak when an act of parliament will do. If the Brits wanted a figure head and not a cult of personality than a sculpture would certainly serve the purpose much more cheaply. They spent over 400 years and are still trying to get just the right mix of Bourgeois Parliamentary Democracy and Monarchal Tyranny.
1
@Jd 04techreviews The sun has set on the British Empire. Goodbye EU. Hello to the class struggle.
1
@idontgiveafaboutyou Other than the Stalinists and those who followed Stalin who murdered our faction (loyal communists) as admitted to in Khrushchev's speech to the 20th Congress of the CPSU. Who did we execute unjustly. Ayn Rand was a well know opponent to Bolshevism from the beginning. In her account of Soviet Life included leaving St Petersburg so she could be on the other side of the civil war (No jail time or execution when the whites were defeated and she could not escape "Red rule".) Complains about being purged from University for being a bourgeois student where that decision nullified as it should be. (She would have been rejected by any Russian University prior to the Oct revolution because women were not allowed to attend.) She tried to get a travel visa to a hostile country (the US) that had invaded the Soviet Union and that had no diplomatic relations with the USSR until 1930. (She left in 1926 with a legal visa.) Her father's pharmacy in St Petersburg was lost no doubt due to leaving it with a locked door to the needed medicine during the civil war. So just how did she suffer at the hands of the early Soviet Union?
