@fullmetaltheorist Because the two parties give themselves special rights to get on the ballot and socialist were denied their seats in the New York legislature. Then in the 1930's you had Stalin's Popular Front theory where labor made a coalition to elect liberals. When the American workers as a class decide to form an independent labor party it may proceed very quickly with American speed.

@JustMark87 No Democrats sat on their hands and did nothing while rightests chipped away at abortion rights. That's because rich women will always have access its the poor who will be forced to carry unwanted pregnancies to term or seek an illegal abortion.

@mrchicken940 Seems to me capitalism is whats failing. Popular revolutions lead by working people overturned the Stalinists in Eastern Europe not a US Military victory in the cold war. If capitalism is doing so well why does Donald Trump think America needs saving now. Would have anything with the declining rate of return on investment would it? .

@mrchicken940 Communism is not something you try like an ice cream cone or religion. They only thing thats has failed is the Social Democratic and Stalinist workers leaderships. For capitalism to "win." it must be able to produce economic and political stability. The cold war ended but it produced the opposite more instability. Its either world socialism and national self determination or World War three. Take you pick because that is where capitalism is headed. The greedy ruling classes will choose Imperialist War abroad and War against the trade unions, fascism at home. They did the same thing with world war one and two. What makes you think they are any different now? Isn't just unchangeable "human nature." that prevent's socialism? Or do believe the liberal capitalist ruling classes have changed their "nature" and will save you from nuclear winter? For capitalism to continue a single greedy Imperialist power must be able to dominate world trade and arbitrate all trade disputes. The American Empire only created new rivals with the changes in the East and China. This why they lost the cold war because no one won. The Stalinist regimes collapsed under popular revolutions not an Imperialist War with American Troops in Red Square and Beijing.

@mrchicken940 Did the world adopt capitalism in Europe on a first try? It had to go though stops and starts as the capitalist fought over political power with the feudal landowners. Since the birth of industrial capitalism the working class has been fighting with the capitalist first with trade unions and then by establishing a workers state in France. The Paris Commune. In 1914 the Imperialist nations decided they would redivide the world amongst themselves. This needless mass slaughter give rise to the second workers state in Soviet Russia and the Soviet Republics which formed the Soviet Union.

@steviesevieria1868 Both parties are funded by the wealthy so why would you expect them to do anything that would cost them money. Their goal is to convince you nothing can be done. That's Kennedy the bankers son who said, "Ask not what your government can do for you but ask what you can do for your government." When Democrats are out of office they blame Republicans and when their in office they say they lack the Democratic Party agreement needed to get it done.

@aburden8580 No rebuild the unions and workers power on the job than in the community with a labor party without the liberals. Don't need liberals anymore than we need Bezos and Musk. Organize to abolish private property the property used to exploit others. Set up a government like the one the workers and farmers have in Cuba. Make education free for all who want to learn and use education to drive down labor privilege. After all if 19 million people in Cuba can educated 10,000 foreign medical students at no cost to the student think what a socialist America could do. All we need to do is take control of production away from a tiny group of profiteers.

@brianlacroix822 Communism is a movement not a socially engineered empirical experiment conducted in one country for the benefit of all. its ideas are based in the material conditions of the earth, human history and the class struggle. Naked capitalism of the 19th century has been rejected in all the advanced capitalist countries including the United States. Thatcher and Reagan proclaimed victory and end to history with the end of the Soviet union in 1992. Of course that Triumph soon went sour first in 2000 with the dot com crisis, then the 2008 with Bush intervening in the free market to save the free market. Then the COVID crisis. Can you name a country that isn't in a political or economic crisis caused by the anarchy of the capitalist system. A place where capitalism is moving forward rather than stuck at production levels lower than 2008. Election of Trump, Brexit and now war in Ukraine show how its failing. You didn't win the cold war instead you just created more problems for yourself and more instability. You weaker vs a vs all your competitors. Driven by a reactionary Muslim sect from Afghanistan. Now Germany is rearming for war in Central and Eastern Europe. When a US President has to tell the UN Democracy is not dead then something is up.

Capitalism developed in nation states and the capitalist classes in those nations states although they have the same class interest they don't have the same national interests in the world market where they must compete which is what drives them towards protectionism, Imperialist war and fascism. Capitalism is by nature exploitive and everyone know that there is no honor among thieves. Marx and Lenin would be obscure philosophers if the European Empires had been able to avoid World War I. One of the charges against King Charles was he was going about the country destroying it in interests of tax collection. Next time your politicians vote for endless war they should remember the execution of King Charles and the revolutionary English Commonwealth. You spent 2.3 Trillion in Afghanistan killing 100,000 and creating millions of internal displaced persons.My opinion is your all just to greedy to avoid more wars and revolutions. .

@Oudplayer23 Moderates and Centrists are those who rather sit in the middle with no opinion at all. Liberal's have always been hypocrites making promises to labor and working people that they as capitalist have no intention of keeping. They all love Black and Brown folks just as long as they stay in their neighborhoods. They really got upset because Trump actually paid some attention to working people problems. See we are suppose to vote liberals just as long as we don't make a fuss about anything.

@austensmith6857 The working people don't need another Mao or Stalin whose theories require alliances with lying bourgeois liberals or progressive capitalists. Only by relying on our own organizations and power can we achieve anything. That's been true in the past and it will remain true because world capitalism is essentially reationary to the core. It can't even produce at the level achieved in 2008 on a world scale and the ruling classes and strata are only interested in enriching themselves at everyone else's expense. Governments worldwide are corrupted by gamblers in stock markets seeking profit above all else. .
