@bobhawke7373 It's not marriage, it's a civil union. Most who voted yes now regret. People are sick of them, along with drag queen story hours and the sexualisation of children. Even the fact that people have been arrested for having a Bible in public as the LGBT community claim it contains hate speech. If they wanted public sympathy they are really going about it all the wrong way, and hopefully people will remember this when considering the voice.

From what I can see it will allow the courts to determine private and public land to be native title. And the greens admit it will involve "paying rent."

@lastjellyontheplate8828 I actually knew the real Bob Hawke, I grew up next door to the local Labor MP. As a child I often met the real Bob. He was a good bloke who wanted to preserve the nuclear family. That's what makes this creep even more discusting.

@bobhawke7373 I actually agree with you in part. Until the 1700s in England a marriage did not require a church. It was a consensual vow between two people followed by consummation. Human witnesses were desirable, but not essential. This form of marriage extended past the marriage act of the 1700s as common law marriage. Often referred to as de facto in Australia. Same sex couples could always marry this way. Sensible people in a common law marriage sign a contract of cohabitation proving their legal right as spouse. There was never a need to put SSM into the constitution. It was never an attempt at equality. It was always a power grab. You maybe an atheist but the majority of Australians are from some faith according to the census. And SSM has been a naked attempt to destroy Christianity, still the major religion in Australia, along with the Muslim faith which is growing. And even most atheists, agnostics, and adherents of New Age etc, do not agree with the results, indeed everyone outside of LGBT activist groups, and a few attention seeking mothers, are upset or angry. And if you are honest you would recognise this is true.

@lastjellyontheplate8828 I actually put up a lengthy defence, which might be shadow banned. Ultimately SSM had nothing to do with marriage. It was always about political power of the extreme cringe. The Voice will be the Same.

@kauss-uh3py Yes anyone in the real world, interacting with picking up kids from school, shopping, or doing anything knows that people who never thought about homosexualality at all are now disgusted. The voice will not end well either. Neither was the SSM vote a valid vote. It was a matter of who in what street got their hands on the most ballets. Most people were so disinterested they threw them away.

@simonharris4873 This entire thread is evidence. Wake up. Do you have children or grandchildren? Do you do school pickup's with other parents? Do you go to children's birthday parties? I think not. If you are gay, I would strongly advise you to be outspoken in your distance from the agenda. Just some kind advise. Homosexuals have traditionally been abused because they they were stereotypically accused of corrupting children. And now every bad trope against them has born to fruition. As a historian I'm well aware that that sexual freedom is a pendulum that swings every century. How far it swings is determined by how far it swung. Unlike you I'm constantly interacting with parents and children. And the next generation of kids hate girls who don't have long hair and bring a baby doll to school. And they hate boys who don't have short back and side haircuts, and engage in rough play. And the biggest insult is gay. Funny that used to mean happiness. The 12 year olds will create the future.

@kauss-uh3py I agree they're not born that way, and it's a behaviour they can control. Up until fifty or so years ago it was illegal, and "gay men" married women and had children.

@bobhawke7373 There is geological and archeological evidence for The Flood in Genisus. Furthermore the story exists in multiple cultures. Since the 1960s there has been evidence of what appears to be the garden of Eden. A place so fruitful that multiple tribes of hunter gatherers could live there in comfort all year round. After a couple of centuries of this life there was an extreme drought. Some of the people went back to hunting and gathering, another group moved to the rivers and invented agriculture. This is likely the Cain and Abel story.

@bobhawke7373 There is plenty of evidence that approximately 12,000 years ago, the Mediterranean Sea was formed, along with the English Channel and the land bridge to Australia and America became submerged. This happened very quickly. Archeologists have found neolithic villages under what is now the Mediterranean Sea and hunter gatherers were living where the English Channel now is. Ofcourse it wasn't global, but it was extensive and catastrophic. The story was an oral legend until it was first recorded in writing in Babylon. There is evidence that neolithic farmers did use boats to escape rising sea levels. It's quite likely that these farmers also included breeding stock of domestic animals. As for your claim that agriculture has existed for 40,000 years, that is a ridiculous claim. The dog was domesticated by hunter gatherers, perhaps 30,000 years ago. However there is no evidence of agriculture until 15,000 years ago, and much more recently in most of the world.

@bobhawke7373 PS I also believe in evolution. But that does not mean there were not extensive floods at the end of the ice age, or that there was not a place in the Middle East where people could harvest and store enough wild grain to enjoy food security.
