What do they expect by favouring young women as teachers. If they like children enough to be teachers, they are likely to leave and have their own children. The teachers at my local school are all on maternity leave or part time to spend more time with their own kids. This is why male teacher's used to be preferred by education departments.

Half of the people living in Australia are recent immigrants. And in fifty years this has never been given a democratic alternative.

Very well said. I would add on a purely biological level. If you employ predominantly young women, women who like children and want to teach them. That in five years they will leave to care for their own babies.

@MrBadintentionss Obviously you have never lived in a suburb with high African immigration. You don't know the joys of only shopping in supermarkets with large armed police presence.

@betrayedcitizen5135 Absolutely. Like Martha's Vineyard

It's what they get for employing young women who like children.

Plus it's natural if you employ predominantly twenty one year old women, they'll leave in five years to have a baby.

@intoxicated maple moose Which is very natural biologically. Good luck if you are over thirty.

@rosasdaughter2734 My view is based on the reality of working as an after school care provider for a primary school. Half the female teachers under 35 are constantly on maternity leave. And the other half work part - time. It's the female teachers over 45, and the male teacher's, who keep the school working. I saw yet another teacher about 26 in tears the other day, she's upset about spending all day teaching other people's kids whilst her baby is in daycare. Her husband earns money, she'll be gone in a few weeks. It doesn't matter what decade, feminist ideology fails when women become mothers. Most mothers prefer their own babies to other women's children. Perhaps your niece is childless or fully Indoctrinated or a biological aberration. But given the choice and enough economic prosperity, women want to care for their infants. PS In the 1970s feminists promised to glorify housewives and mothers. But they failed dismally to give them any role. Female teachers are clever enough to understand a doctrine that makes their lives miserable.

Storm Boy I saw another teacher at my school the other day sobbing. Her maternity leave has ran out. And she can't bear thinking about her baby in daycare whilst she teaches other people's children. Feminism works until you become a mother.

Storm Boy There is nothing abnormal about mothers and babies wanting to spend time together. This has been the normal thing for two million years, longer if you include primates. What's abnormal is a society that says it's abnormal.

@dougdownunder5622 Yes, and they use this to justify importing third world doctors, which is wrong for multiple reasons.
