If u dont learn from your mistakes they will repeat themselves over and iver again this is called growing and maturing without it ur a 6 year old brain cause nothings every your fault and if u never admit or take responsibility you can't learn the lesson This is why every parent is supposed to teach their kids to tell the truth in the first place And when you catch your kid with chocolate on their face and they're lying to you saying they didn't get into the chocolate that's the teaching moment where you get them to admit it and and you give them a little consequence and then they learn not to lie about Eden's chocolate cake when evidence is right there in front of everybody But if you laugh at all and go oh you silly and you don't teach them about telling the truth then then your kid is stuck in that I have chocolate cake on my face but I'm gonna pretend that it's not there through the whole life Its really sad when you think about it
