agriculture subsidy is more than defense budget. This is stupid and waste

@bikramjeetsingh8975 They can eat at market rate. Our foks at the border don't have money for equipment, old veterans don't get enough pension..... these are the ones who defended us. But we are spending billions on grains which we aren't going to eat and that sits and rots in FCI

@tolstoyeducation Just give them direct money, so they can feed themselves. or make them work on infrastructure development and other things. In current scenario, you are wasting their time and money by forcing them to work In unproductive works

@bikramjeetsingh8975 my family has both agricultural and military and cooperate background, when anyone joins the military they get paid for their service. It's not given in the application that farming subsidy are Also included in the arrangement. I am all for better equipment, trainig and post retirement training and higher salary for serving and retired soldiers. But agricultural subsidy is not linked to military, we had military since British Raj and no subsidy even then. The current subsidy are 60-70 years old and a waste of resources in this day and age

@bikramjeetsingh8975 subsidy started sometime post independence and soldiers from Punjab used to join before that. the argument was motivation to join the military, and as per the data soldiers used to join even when we were ruled by foreign occupies. there are soldiers from other places who join the military and those places don't get any subsidy, the argument where punjab required subsidy for it to send soldiers is bogus. ppl don't get MSP is my region and we still do join the military.

@bikramjeetsingh8975 agree, FCI and PDS system should be federalised. Each state should be given a budget depending upon poverty and ration consumption, and states should procure grains from their own state mandis and or free market. GOI purchases massive amounts of grains from punjab at 18 rs/kg and dumps it in my state at 2 s/kg which artificially deflates the crop prices in our agri market forcing our farmers to sell at 9-10 rs/kg and the irony is our farmers don't even get free electricity and water.

@bikramjeetsingh8975 No it's not favorable to my states farmers, we should learn a lesson from punjab farmers and burn down any any and every grain coming from Punjab to my state , so the gov will not procure from punjab but from my state. they should procure at 15Rs / kilo from my state and sell at 2rs a kilo in my state itself. insted of buying from punjab at overpriced cost the problem is not states dong well, but the center favoring one state over the other , punjab also cannot provide subsidy in electricity and water unless it taxes central gov agencies for money.

@bikramjeetsingh8975 tractors aren't allowed on national highway, and that's you you rich farmers are doing and are therefore braking the law So therefore it's important that they block you. Also your Airtyas have shown your intentions by blocking the railway lines and highways of punjab and destroying the industry there....... you had similar plans for Delhi junction, Delhi national highway and industries. If you had protested peacefully in punjab and followed the traffic rules, you would have been allowed to do so in Delhi as well. just like Tamil Nadu Farmers are allowed, because Tamil Nadu farmers ate decent humans with good intentions.
