Bio Tk Bullshit. I have already said I am not anti GMO entirely. I am suspicious of the newer models as they have not had the proper time to be tested for longterm issues or non issues. I am for truth in labeling. You sound like a Monsanto fanboi. You are over the top bub. Get a clue.

+Tyler Potts wow. First you say science has proven GMO's are safe. Then you mention an exception. See the problem?

Tyler Potts Labeling is good. Knowing what you are eating is good. This is not a science issue. It is a political or ethics issue. SNARK COMING:If GMO's are good then the corps should be proud to label their products with all the information.

Tyler Potts I have already read your fat analogy. Baby food (I just checked a jars label) has the fat content listed. So I do not understand your use of baby food as an example. And we disagree about the burden. The burden is on those that produce the genetically modified foods. There is no burden on the consumer as many studies have shown. Once again I remind you of the seatbelt issue. The industry moaned and spent millions claiming price increases that would cause many to be unable to afford a car. Nonsense then as labeling scare tactics are nonsense now.

Travis Morien You love to muddy the water. This is about truth in labeling and nothing else. It is not about science. If GMO's with Roundup are so damned good then let the market decide.

AirCooledMan2006 Ingredients on a label is not about science and it does not go against science. If the label said that GMO's are bad then that might be false advertising. You do not have a leg to stand on.

Tyler Potts You are speaking gibberish bub. There is nothing wrong with labeling food GMO or Not GMO. Nothing. The only suspicious issue is your faith not mine. I have no faith. I want labels to be true and honest.
3
Travis Morien Decade head start? Laughable. Your side has had the head start since the beginning of their industry.

Tyler Potts The Colorado study you mention is suspect? Did you read it? It does not even try to hide its obvious allegiance to the food giants. And again I tell you that labeling a product GMO or NO GMO is not about science. Now if you label a product "GMO BAD AND WE HAVE NO GMO" then that would be "bad" science at this juncture. I cannot find at this moment who paid for the study you mentioned but I have this: http://consumersunion.org/research/cu-response-to-cornell-study-on-cost-of-ge-labeling/

Tyler Potts I agree that some GMO's are safe. Studies on the latest GMO's like the ones with Roundup are far from complete. And again I am not arguing that. I am arguing about labeling. I want labels to tell what is in my food. No ifs ands or buts. If my food is GMO then say so. If it is non GMO then say so. There are nearly know cost problems to doing that unless you read industry funded studies. I do not know how old you are but we heard the same nonsense when seatbelts in cars were proposed. The industry used the same tactics that the food giants and big ag are using on this issue.

Earnest Channel The point is beyond him. He is concerned for the well being of the food industry because FreeDumb. He thinks that labeling food GMO is harmful to the profits of the industry. And he thinks it is pointless to label as it is all safe so why would we need to know what we are eating. He and his buddy keep saying that the science is clear so we do not need labeling. But that is not the point and it seems they are not wired to understand that. One has to wonder why he and the others are so concerned. Labeling is common sense.

Tyler Potts LOL There is nothing improper about labeling something as GMO. You really are mental on this issue.

AirCooledMan2006 LABELING

Tyler Potts It has not contributed to food prices in any meaningful way in those countries. That is a lie pure and simple.

Is there any scientific reasoning to labeling? No. Labeling has nothing to do with science. LOL the caller is a moron.
