  12. A bad news story. Turned into a good news story.  Having been to China, Hong Kong, and Taiwan, myself. Taiwan is worth saving for being a shining example. Of being an amazing, socially successful, prosperous, democratic, country. Constantly under threat, by a large all controlling dictatorship. If we don't support Taiwan sufficiently, it's on us, we are next. The people are amazingly nice, and grounded. They didn't experience Mao, ripping the culture apart. Then setting the stage, for a government that stands on the people's necks.

So I will no longer lend to you. Unless the interest rate compensates for the risk, of default, or currency debasement. (servicing the debt means, principal and interest).

  24.  @foleylione  The best way, was to invest in productive capacity. Let dead companies fail. To not have corporate lobby groups, steer the budgets, into their pockets. Not subsidizing Chinese shipping rates, respecting human rights over there. It is never too late, to start to turn things around. But as you know, the longer you leave it, the harder it is. Every time the economy is headed for a cleansing, it is diverted with helicopter money, and lower interest rates. Till it no longer works. Making the eventual meltdown bigger.
