Great job! I thought I edited my original comment, but must have deleted it instead, so I apologize if another comment shows up! We got cheddar at the school where I taught in the 80s. It was excellent in texture and flavor. @The Enforcer you might check on the commodity peanut butter and see if it was also subsidized. Throw in some history about George Washington Carver and his 300 uses for peanuts!

The school where I taught in 1980 got cheddar from the government commodity program. It was a wonderful sharp cheddar. The cafeteria ladies would give us a pound or two to take home and we would make a cheese ball out of it. We would take the cheese ball back to school to share plus use it before it got too “strong” as cheddar tends to do. The cafeteria ladies only had so many recipes that called for cheddar cheese, so better to use it in cheese balls than let it go to waste. Probably illegal to do that now, and might have been way back then! Thank you Enforcer! This was interesting. You might check into commodity peanut butter and see if it was a surplus item that the government also subsidized. Slava Ukraini 🇺🇦

Probably couldn’t since it was “owned” by the US government and paid for by taxpayers.
