It's now fashionable to be pro-Polish now that Tusk has won. Hence "Radek" gets so much hype. But it was the previous government which saved Ukraine, which started to rebuild the Polish military and which travelled to Kyiv before it was popular to do so.

The thing is that if you look at what Gazeta Wyborcza (Radek's party's paper) says about the Uprising, it's not always positive things.

@Coughinggonzalo People bring up the Warsaw Uprising but it's Radek's party paper (GW) which has been dissing the Warsaw Uprising. They like to be edgy and deconstruct things. They've written factually incorrect material about the Warsaw Uprising. That's the connection. The current party (PO) is more skeptical of the Warsaw Uprising than Law and Justice is. So bringing it up in this context is a little incorrect.

@ProfessorTimWilson I don't like Radek. I think Poles made a big mistake in bringing Tusk ("we'll take Russia as she is") back. I've actually met Tusk personally some years ago, before he went to the EU, I think Poles made a poor choice with PO. We've already had PO yield to Russia before. They'll do it again. Poland's in trouble. I'd recommend following Strategy and Future on YT. They do English sometimes. I think if the US leaves or gets distracted by China, Poland will not be able to hang on unless there is a more serious government. Remember that under PO, the plan to defend against Russia was to let Russians take half of Poland until the Vistula river. The serious military modernization started under Kaczynski. PO did almost nothing while they were in charge and they gave in and allowed an EU-Russian deal in 2006. Kaczynski was always anti-Russian in part because of Smolensk. Smolensk is by the way the only time the PO government says that Putin did not lie. He can't be trusted in other matters but once his commission said that Russia was in no way to blame for the Smolensk disaster, Poland's Miller commission under PO basically rubber stamped what the Russians said. Radek is popular among some Westerners because of his wife.
