  1. Japane's fleet in WW2 was based on British ships and designs. And they lost against the Americans very fast. Dude there was one strong Axis power in WW2 and that was Germany. The Red Army destroyed the Kwantung Army, the same army the German Heer thrashed, thrashed the Japanese.

  2.  @OneClick287  Can you cite where it's impossible for Chinese to create reliable motor engines or aircraft carriers? Chinese industrial base is many times bigger than Japan's. Also China is more advanced in some tech sectors. You're just being racist.

Americans just made their war contribution in terms of manpower much larger because Yanks always tout themselves as the best of the best. Note that the Japanese navy was based on British tech it was not home grown. Japan itself is a backwared technologically country in at least the 1930s.

  5. But Japan has no obligation to protect Taiwan. Taiwan and China are all Chinese. Ukraine and Russia are different peoples. Even now many Taiwanese would not mind unification with China. And Japan may not want to risk getting nuked by China for what? If China attacks Taiwan, nobody will be able to stop them.

Japan got everything for free from the West, the West built Japan. The West did not build China. Westerners wanted Chinese to be cheap factory workers but China is now overtaking the West (and Japan) in many technologies. As for refinement, Europe had even higher grade of refinement than Japan. But it was too expensive. I think China is rising so fast, if you consider the rate of change of tech improvement, China is on the rise. 30 years ago they were making nothing of high tech, now they build aircraft carriers, 5G and rockets to the moon. One must not have RACIST ideas about people. Chinese have a bad rep but remember Japan got culture from China. Japan got writing from China for example, not vice versa. The real contender here is China. I don't like communism but I also have to face reality based on empirical data. Chinese made Apple computer is superior to Japanese made Sony Vaio in quality.

Also US is becoming weaker, US had an industrial advantage but that advantage is now lost. US will ultimately pull out of East Asia. Your only hope Yank is to try to get the Asians to quarrel amongst each other. And I'm pro US. But you are too much full of hubris. You've also lost your Christian roots.

  12.  @PRCutie101  I'm explaining geopolitics. WW2 is not ancient history. The current world order was based on that. Japan is a vassal state of the US. A Japanese friend of mine once told me that they believe that had it not been for Hiroshima/Nagasaki Japan would be like North Korea, i.e. captured by the Reds and a full on North Korea. Japan is a vassal state of the US. Because the US needs allies in that area because it's far from that area. But Japan also needs the US because China will eat it or at least make it very neutral.

I'm just confused why you post bizarre nonsense since EVs are not made by many countries and in fact most struggle to make good ones at a good price. The world is currently in a recession and people are struggling and cheaper EVs are the solution.

  44.  @MrDnong  I'm a Westerner but also not a Westerner. I'm from the Soviet Bloc. And I know about the skirmishes between China and USSR. But I also know there was a lot of co-operation between them. I know that we hosted North Koreans in Poland in the late 50s. I know that there was a lot of co-operation going on among the comrades, at least that's also how it was presented to us in the 80s. And for sure we know that the comrades would have co-operated. It's not the same world however, as Japan surrendered to the Americans. One thing about communistic Chinese people that we knew in the 1990s was that they were of similar mind to us from former Eastern Europe. I don't know where you're from nor your age but maybe it's a generational thing.

Well millions of Asians died due to Japanese war of aggression in WW2 and people here expect them to love Japan while America started a war with Iraq over 4000 deaths.

People with actual combat experience against a real army. Japanese don't engage in combat. To be fair China has little experience either. But they're probably willing to sacrifice more men while America will back down as soon as people arrive in coffin bags. Best for America is to focus on Europe. And sign peace with China.

  53.  @visalserei  They lost big time on land to the Red Army of the USSR. Russian soldiers were like decimating Japanese. Secondly the KMT decimated Japanese too. Japan couldn't keep it up. Also Laos, Cambodia etc were backward. Japan took Western tech and invaded but they would do nothing with their stupid samurai swords. Secondly the West kicked them hard. Finally note that we're in 2024. Japan has not fouught a single war since 1945. And China has equal tech now to Japan and soon will be higher. China has an average IQ which is higher than Japan's and many more people and the communism is holding them back. But if China was capitalist they would be smarter than Japan and 10x the population. Japan would be a colony for them.

The British made a deal with the Japanese before WW1 to keep the status quo there contra the Germans and Russians and so transferred ships and ship building teach to the Japanese. The West also transferred industrial tech to Japan. Who developed industrialisation in the 19th century? Europe and later the US. So if Japan chose to invade Korea they would have become a threat to the Western powers and the West would not have invested there or opened markes to Japan. Before WW2 Japan was not very developed. It really developed after WW2. Now you think. Japan became filthy rich after WW2 despite not having Korea. Why? Because the US and West gave them all they needed as long as they were peaceful and a bulwark against China and USSR. Thank me for the history lesson.
