  1. There was a reality show on ABC called "Welcome to the Neighborhood" in 2005 which never aired. The show hosted 7 diverse families competing to win a house in an upscale neighborhood near Austin, Texas. The 7 families were judged each week by three right-wing white families who already lived in that neighborhood. The show was cancelled before airing because it may have violated the federal Fair Housing Act. I went to a protest rally at the Texas State Capitol since I lived in Austin then. The previews looked very stereotyping and demeaning.
