This is interesting but it is splitting hairs. No matter how Ballmer was using the word "cancer", he still hated Linux. It's not like he was saying "Linux is a cancer, but it is a good kind of cancer." Any way you or he put it, his sentiment was still that Linux is a cancer which is bad. To this date, I do not trust Microsoft nor do I let its operating systems touch my hardware.
