  1. Trump can try to hide the truth, but one thing that really sinks political campaigns is the reality of voters or their loved ones getting dying due to the gov't's action or lack of action. The Vietnam War sunk Lyndon Johnson's chances of being re-elected so much that Johnson did not even try to run for office again. Trump can spin the numbers all he wants, but that will not change the reality that people see in their own communities of loved ones dying.
