  1. How many years has the "war on drugs" been going on? It's definitely over half a century, and yet drug use is more prevalent than ever. In my book this clearly indicates what a massive failure it's been. All it achieves is massively increasing the market price for drugs, and profits for gangs. If drugs weren't illegal their price would plummet. Would it then even be worthwhile for farmers to grow opium or coca? Would it then even be worthwhile for most gangs to run their operations? Am I the only one asking these questions?
