In taxes and food, prices are going up due to the government's totally incompetent handling of covid-19, which turned what would have been a very minor drama into a crisis. I bet taxes and food prices aren't going up in Sweden. Oh, and on top of this Boris is giving our pensioners an extra hard kick in the balls, by reneging on the "triple lock". I wonder how many people are really convinced that the 8% rise they should be getting is extravagant. When you consider that someone really struggling on minimum wage gets 2.5 times as much as the state pension, upping it by 8% no longer sounds particularly generous. And then we have the eye watering gas price rises to come, which would more than eat up that 8%.
