Short of calling up reservists, which would be an admission the the "special operation" was a lie, Putin has to focus on a much smaller area. And Russia's supply of weapons has also been heavily depleted. This is why it is so incredibly important to get good weapons to the Ukrainians' front line ASAP. That means you Germany! Dead Russian troops, with even less equipment, don't advance!
