  1. Am I the only one wondering how well RAAC was tested in the first place, and how many years ago the problems with it came to light? I suspect that in the first instance far too little attention was paid to the consequences of water being absorbed (and maybe freezing) into this concrete. Was any of it ever soaked (maybe under pressure) and then repeatedly frozen and heated? I also suspect that serious problems with this concrete emerged several decades ago, but were covered up!
