TYT production meeting: Smollet found guilty on 5 felonies. How should we spin it? Cenk: We still got that poll that about dating lying around?

Reducing people to labels is generally destructive to any relationship.

Reduce people to labels, as quickly as possible, rather than take the time to get to know people as individuals. Weird that’s a “progressive” thing to do.

Poll finds Progressives more readily reduce people to labels and segregate accordingly. Progressives take that as a win. ??

Can’t help but notice after almost 16 minutes of commentary, there were 0 examples of any Republican being upset over this. No one else noticed?
3
0 examples of right wingers crying, or even taking issue, with this poll. 16 minutes of talking, not 1 example of the claim.

I had a Republican friend who was voting for Trump. I argued all the things wrong with Trump, and he said, “I agree, but what am I going to do, vote for Clinton?” Another friend, who I hung out with at Bernie events, used the same logic for voting for Clinton. It’s unfair to pigeonhole people’s identities when there are only 2 choices and most people don’t really like either one.

If anything, this shows which party is more duped by culture wars. This might explain why a populist was able to succeed in the Republican primary, while the Democratic voters fall in line when confronted with the potential of losing to an R.

We primarily focus conversation on things we disagree about and quickly put each other into label boxes. Don’t know where the relationship turned bad? 🤔

The problem with D and R tribalism is that it doesn’t account for those people who are only 1 or 2 issue voters. It piles the entirety of the rhetorical baggage onto them. That makes them feel judged unfairly. Reducing people to labels isn’t healthy for any kind of relationship.

Started off with a claim, “Some Republican voters”, chiron repeated the claim throughout, but not a single example ever given. Is this just a strawman intended to pile on gender tropes? (Ladies, if you sleep with a Republican, he’ll DEF tell all his friends!)
