  2. Also, defunding does not mean cutting their pay. Cops would have no real reason to look for another job. The general call is that instead of purchasing higher grade weaponry (which they’re then compelled to use), use those funds to hire mental health professionals as a first response team to deal with someone suffering from a mental health issue. Granted, there are those calling for full disbandment, and there needs to develop a unified meaning for what the slogan implies.
