  1. This boy had posted a video threatening do it, and had a list with names of individuals to target. Then when he got busted, of course, he was just joking! Joke or no, it needs to stop. What stopped swatting was publicizing the consequences.

  3. Yeah, no. What, we wait until the kid follows through? No. Feel bad if he’s being bullied and whatnot, but feel worse for the hundreds or thousands of kids he just affected. If they make the threat, treat them as if they had the intention to follow through, and let the court figure it out. It is not acceptable and the message must be clear and the deterrent viable.

  4. Do you know how much it costs to put a school zone on lockdown? Or if they lock down the school before it opens and parents have to take the day off work because they have no one to watch their kid?

  6. We’ve been having this issue where I live, schools on lockdown twice last week due to threats. Second one, someone got busted, but protected the identity of the minor. Wish our local popo would go hard like this!
