  2. Yeah. That's right. The privatisation which occurred under Lange was only a temporary measure at the time. Muldoon's "Think Big" policies were disastrous. Lange assumed that privatising certain sectors would free up money and the economy. However, he had no idea that Roger Douglas and Richard Prebble intended to go further than what Lange thought was necessary. Lange was shocked when he found out but it was too late by then.
