I wouldn't be surprised if Trashnal was financing the Free Speech Coalition. It seems that Slime-mon's getting the conditions in place to push him back up in the polls as preparation for the next election. These conditions are to get the public agitated into responding in predictable ways which has been successful so far. The next step is to continue this agitation until the time when it matters, that is, election time. Trashnal can't create a loyal voting bloc through the use of charter schools so now they're trying to use controversial topics in order to achieve this goal. When the media provides an obvious target to hate, then you know it's a deception. Hegelian dialectic: problem + reaction = solution. Here Slime-mon is trying to gain the consent of the public after its mind has already been made. All this negativity, name-calling, and finger-pointing for the sake of one person's political ambition. The worst is being brought out of people just to win an election. Unbelieveable. Read "Propaganda" by Edward Bernays.

Bryce Kerr Absolutely nothing. This whole dispute has nothing to do with speech at all. This whole dispute was designed to divide the public by means of agitation into voting blocs in preparation for the next election by stealth. Whether the timing of the event with the execution of the plan was coincidental or not doesn't matter as the effect was the same which was to divide society. The second objective was to smear the reputation of the government. This whole dispute is to get people on one side or the other, get them to label their opponent as either "this" or "that", and then get them to vote accordingly to their tribe. Even the way you've worded your reply automatically signifies the side you've taken as well as mine. Once members of the public insult each other, Simon comes along and says "Free speech is good" but only because the public have been manipulated into fighting amongst itself into sides, the majority of which are in support of free speech.

Bryce Kerr It's not that people choose a side. It's that the people are manipulated into taking sides and then they're made to attack the other side. People will always take a side and that's a fact. But it's best that people look at an issue, consider both sides, and then decide their own view of their own free will and not by emotionally-fuelled, corporate-owned propaganda.
