I think it’s her way of giving back. Her prosecution and incarceration showed her the way crimes can be poorly investigated, so she is providing her perspective on true crime cases. A lot of her podcast has been devoted either to victims of wrongful convictions, or to women who were defamed or exploited by the legal system and/or the media.

Since her baby was born, she has said she’d like to sell the rights to her book to have a film made. She says it would be so she is financially independent and won’t have to keep using her story to make a living.
