  2. I think our country has been partially defined by the clash between racism and anti-racism. When we talk about racism in US history, we have to examine it in the context of a struggle, with racist people fighting against anti racist people.

  4. The police coerced her into accusing that man. She may not know what it’s like to suffer racism. But her experience with police corruption would naturally make her sensitive to other victims of that corruption. Just look at the sympathy in her face when she hears Ms. Morris’ story.

  6. I don’t agree. Every movement to end injustice is built upon empathy between the people within it. While the experiences of these two women are very different, the injustices they both suffered are clearly serving as common ground from which they can fight together.

  7. Amanda was a victim and wouldn’t even be in the public eye if she hadn’t been wrongly accused. She only write a book because she had to pay her legal fees.
