  4. Stop calling it a straw sale. There is a difference, words have meaning. Straw PURCHASE is when someone buys a gun for someone else not intended as a gift. It is already illegal for someone to do that whether conducing a background check or private. PRIVATE SALE, the term you should be using, is when two people lawfully engage in exchanging products without government oversight as it should be. So just call it a private sale.
