  1. faulty sense of "support" will be dangerous, look at the reality, US fully supported Ukraine, then it lost Crimea to Russia, what US did for Ukraine?? nothing, same story happened in China, in 1960s, TW signed security treaty with US, then US sent warships to escort TW transporter ships and warships to send supplies to some islands occupied by TW, and PLAN sent warships to ambush them and fired on TW ships, US "escorting" warships saw these but did nothing just run away, hah:)
