  1. Very good points from Palki, I just wanted to add 2 more aspects: 1. As Palki has pointed India's parliament structure from British, I would expand it to the whole "democratic system" of India, 74 yrs history has shown this system is not working for India since India and China started at the same level, assuming both people have the same intelligence, 74 yrs later, India lag behind China in all fields and China's GDP is 5 times of India's. 2. all current border conflicts between India and China are all traced back to British, all the territory claims for Aksai chin, or McMahon line were all from British, they were not the traditional border between China and India, or Indians like to say, between India and Tibet, All China wants to do now is to restore the traditional border line, not recognize the border set up by British.
