India has borrowed a substantial amount of money for infrastructure investments, including roads, airports, and dams. As a result, the interest payments on this debt have become a significant part of the government's budget. For 2024, India is expected to allocate $131 billion for interest payments, which accounts for 24% of its total budget. In the following year, this percentage is projected even with 11-12% more than this year. In comparison, despite the United States having a national debt of $35 trillion, its interest payments only constitute 16.7% of the federal budget.

Ethiopia and Djibouti A 756 km railway that connects the Ethiopian capital of Addis Ababa to the port of Djibouti. It was the first electric standard-gauge railway in East Africa. Nigeria A new line connecting Lagos and Ibadan. Algeria A 575 km railway that connects the Gara Djebilet iron ore mine to the national rail network. Tanzania and Zambia A 1,860 km railway that connects Dar es Salaam in Tanzania to Kapiri Mposhi in Zambia

@SarathSarathTn debt trap is a myth created by an Indian, totally not truth, that is why India is the biggest money borrower from AIIB. a bank was setup by China just for BRI, so with your logic, India jumped into China's debt trap itself. in your mind, only you are smarter than 163 countries in BRI. haha :)) what a joke.
