Indians needs to learn some geology for Ladakh area, on China side, it is a flat plain, so China heavy tanks can get back to any position very fast, on the India side, Indian army needs to climb 4500 meters up to reach the area, this kind "disengagement" does not mean much to Indian army, only give them a faked feeling of "security"

Let me explain a little more, so called Patrol Points, are those places Indian army could get there freely before 2020, that is why it is called patrol point, so you can patrol the point, after 2020, first India army lost its ability to patrol to Finger 8 in Pangong tso, China army stopped them at Finger 4, it was May of 2020, 72 Indian army wounded,since no one lost life for both sides, did not cause too much turbulence in the media, after talk, Indian and PLA "disengaged" Indian army could not pass Finger 3 now, (so from Finger 8 back to Finger 3, you figure out you advanced?, now China built a bridge at Finger 8 to cross Pangong Tso, so seems that was the reason Indian army was stopped at Finger 4, China planned all this long time ago), then in PP 14, India army was stopped at the fighting site of June 15/16 2020. PLA still hold there, the key is, the point is 5.7 km away from SSN strategic road (which cost India $1.5 billion and 20 years to build), this distance is totally covered under PLA anti tank missile Red Arrow 10 (range 10 km), in war, not a single truck can pass Galwan section SSN, so this road is actually useless, money and time wasted. Similar in PP 15, the disengagement simply means, Indian army cannot get to the patrol point any longer, so you tell me, from places you could go now become places your army cannot go anymore, you won??

  3. situation in Ladakh cannot be just simply stated as "disengaged' or not, the key is who in on the strategic key positions in the area. Due to the geology of the area, 3 key areas in Ladakh, 1. Pangong Tso, there Chinese army stopped Indian army at Finger 3 (no road from Finger 3 to Finger 4) at north bank of Pangong Tso, on China side good paved road from highway G219 all the way to Finger 4, at Finger 8, China built bridge for heavy weapons, such as tanks, to cross Pangtong Tso to Chushul area, from there the road Tsaka, La Road, connected to Leh. This is the most important area for China. 2. PP15 is about the same it is located north of Pangong tso, and this area is not that important, only China side is flat plain, India has no good road to get in there. 3. Galwan valley, the importance in this place is China and easily cut off SSN strategic road.
