  4. Judging from the comments here there is a long way to go to building a friendship bridge. What will it take for America to achieve that? Abandon the Pacific & Europe and retreat to America. Give the CCP everything they ask? Maybe make an Chinese-American with strong Chinese views President of the United States?

  6.  @123-h5i5y  In the West the China issues doesn't decide elections. It is local and national matters as families struggle to put food on the table and clothes on their backs. Most people have unfavorable views on China now and main stream politics reflects that. China doesn't decide western elections. Well not yet.

While the CCP controls the media and therefore the narrative in China it doesn't in the west or on the Internet. CCP finding it very hard to control western opinion like it does at home. There are many different media outlets in the west. They are not all controlled by one entity as in the case with China

  18.  @MegaKevster123  Trump is gone now. Voted out of office. While I agree with the main part of your narrative here China has to do her part. China is not backing down on SCS, ECS, Taiwan or toning down the rhetoric. Threatning Australia & Japan with nuclear weapons. China thinks she will be No1 and the west is just to stupid not to recognise this CCP authorised fact. But China hasn't won and may well never be No1. I think it will be intersting if there are changes in the Australia - China relations now there is a change of government and Penny Wong will be representing Australia. Sometimes I do think the west over reacts - like the proposed base in the Solomons. Australia is still very much the canary in the cage. Lets see what happens.

  19.  @MegaKevster123  American policy hasn't changed since Trump because the support of policies and measures to resist China are across both parties. Agreed China won't go away. China may become more stronger and confident but the western allies have acknowledged the threat so overall China might not be getting stronger. The allies are working together more which will make the allies stronger. Even Japan has acknowleged the threat along with Germany. China has huge headwinds now. While Chinese growth will probably continue this year with the CCP pumping the economy next year could see very small growth as Xi tries to reign in debt. For peace to continue there has to be deterance and acknowledgement of sovereign rights. Else another Ukraine situation. America will not just "give in". It still has the strongest military and economy. With her allies even stronger. China has a warped sense of history and this is feeding nationalism. The rabid dog of nationalism is the biggest threat to peace,
