The Fed was wrong about inflation being transitory, wrong about inflation coming down in Q2 2022, wrong in June about how high they will need to hike rates, and now their wrong about a soft landing or a mild recession. They have consistently proven they know nothing about the nature of inflation or what it will take to control it. For their next act they will be forced to cause a depression with unemployment well above 5% and rates above 6%-7% to get inflation back in the bottle.
