  1. It’s not the mortality rate that’s the issue, but the infection rate. This virus spreads far more easily than the common flu. And unlike a flu virus, you can’t develop immunity from this virus by getting it. So reinfection will become half of the new cases in the future. There will be no declining curve or herd immunity with this. The only thing flattening the curve right now is the lockdowns.
