  1. A debt ceiling is just a political football to pretend that they’re going to solve the problem. Removing it completely would improve the US’s credit. What we should do instead is make thoughtful spending cuts and raise taxes enough to undo the cuts made by the last two republican presidents. We could also save a great deal by reducing military spending, and ending the failed war on drugs, and legalizing weed at the federal level.
