Let's take this example: Russian idiom leaks into Seymour Hersh's commentry - "poor waif in his underwear" is not an expression any US official would use, but it does happen to be a translation of an idiomatic russian phrase. Sounds like Hersh is getting duped by a Russian source pretending to be American. ".....
