I don't think there is much interest from The West to join BRICS. But there is one thing I have noticed. There have been thousands of comments/complaints here about US hegemony or that US rules everything and everyone. They want freedom from big players. But now we see big praise when Russia is ruling over the other BRICS countries. They are being dictated by the big boss, and everyone are very happy. The "freedom thing" wasn't so important after all?!
