There is no political persecution by the Democrats. It is the law that works! I guess it is hard to see by those who are not familiar with a state governed by the rule of law. If we are to talk about political persecution, it's the Republican Party that has been looking for a chance to impeach Biden. Republicans have been investigating the president since they took control of the House in January. The hearings have found no concrete evidence of misconduct by Joe Biden. They have shouted "impeach Biden" for a couple of years now. The only reason is revenge because the Democrats did impeach Trump, nothing else. The 2019 impeachment on charges of abuse of power and obstruction of Congress. Second impeachment of Donald Trump, the 2021 impeachment on a charge of incitement of insurrection. Both serious charges, especially the last one.
