@hawkboy000 Not once did he say immigrant. NOT ONCE! If that's what people wish it to think, then so be it. Other's however just view it as people moving to Toronto. What's important here is that people are being fired for their given right under our "Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms." Why should people feel like they have to tip-toe around their speech in fear of offending someone else? Make no mistake about it, Don Cherry was fired for expressing his freedom of speech! This is a very dangerous slope that we're going down, and everybody needs to be outraged by it!

@gurindernijjar8683 I'm not in denial. Don Cherry never once made it about race. It was those who criticized him for his speech that mad it about race. We now live in a country that people are punished for the words that come from our mouths. This isn't why our veterans gave their lives, and if you think it's okay that Cherry got fired, then I hope you're one of the first ones imprisoned for using words that have offended someone. Think about it. Have you ever said anything that someone else has taken exception to? How would you like to be punished for words that come from your mouth?

@gurindernijjar8683 In the U.K. there are police officers who monitor the internet for "Hate Speech." In many cases, people are charged for saying things that are considered "Politically Incorrect." In Canada, people are getting sued for hurting other people's feelings. In the future, Don Cherry's comments will be considered hate speech. And just recently, a high school student was suspended for putting up fliers that were deemed as hateful. In other words, one person's freedom of speech is another person's "Hate Speech." This is a very dangerous and slippery slope!
