You are absolutely clueless about the whole situation. First of all there is no reason for any refugee to be fleeing a central or south American country due to violence or war that makes passing Mexico reasonable. Lets say for an example, a family husband and wife are fleeing Nicaragua because of the current events there right now, and they are bringing their two children. Now, why would you not reach Mexico and file for asylum? Mexico is a safe country free from war and political incarceration. So this family arrives in Mexico they apply for asylum, if there is evidence of the danger they are approved. IF they are not approved, why? Is there criminal history? IS there no evidence of an actual threat to their lives? There is a lot that goes into someone seeking asylum. Now, lets say this same family is from Costa Rico, and they simply need to get to America for work or just for a better life. Then why would you expose your entire family to the dangers of traveling to the Mexico American border only to have the possibility that your family could be caught, and separated until you are deported back to your country. Why does this family not apply for visa's just like everyone else, then apply for citizenship? You think its just so easy to just let in millions of people. You think that a border is just a line made up by a bunch of people. Well I got news for you, its a lot more complicated then that. America can not be the place to save everyone. It's not our fault you were born in another country where there isnt enough work or money. We cannot just let everyone and anyone into the country at any time, the stress and pressure on government resources, the addition of people that must find work, housing, food, etc. We have immigration laws for a reason, and that is to protect the system and the resources that keep the country going. Now that said. Any parent who travels through a safe country to only enter the USA illegally, and places their young children in danger to do so, it committing neglect. Now that the parents have been detained, along with the drug mules and the coyote who brought them here. They are all placed in a general population cell until they can see a judge. So are we supposed to just put children in the jail with their parents, the illegals, the drug runners and all the other criminals in there? Just for the idea of keeping the family together! Why are you not yelling at the parents for putting their children in danger like that? CBP and ICE separating them is for their safety, and to prevent families with children from entering the country illegally. I lived in a border town, and dead bodies of adults and children just found in the desert is not a rare event. It is very dangerous crossing the border the way they do, and no child should ever be exposed to that level of danger. The best thing for those children is the US Government. And here you are with all these other bleeding heart liberals bashing Trump, CBP and ICE for seperating children. So whats your answer? Put the family up in a hotel room until they see a judge? Then we have to feed them also? And then someone has to sit outside there motel room door 24 hours to make sure they do not flee. So are you willing to pay for that? Should Americans pay for that? Please enlighten us, tell us how to solve the immigration problem that experts cannot seem to solve. You say you have all the answers, so lets here them.

Well if you enter a place ILLEGALLY, then you are an illegal. Undocumented is used for those people entering the country under legal and normal means such as airplane, drive, sail with a visa to enter the country, whom never leave after visa expires. But since your so smart I would think you already knew that. And now that your the overly sensitive liberal snowflake, how am I racist? Did I use a derogatory statement towards a peoples race or religion? How am I ignorant? Because I want people, in a civilised society to obey the law? Is that not the goal of a civilized society to have laws that govern us? Why do you allow your liberalism to blind you so much that you cannot see what is right in front of your face. Liberals do not care one bit about potential immigrants or the status of someone undocumented, or even the illegals who enter the country. They only care about the potential voters, and using the current administration's policies to further the hatred towards other people for simply having a different opinion then theirs. With that being said, if a person breaks a law, then by definition they are a law breakers, correct? So what do we call a person who enters a country illegally? An illegal, or an illegal alien. It was alright when Clinton, and Obama and the rest of the countries sensitive liberals wanted, demanded and screamed for tighter borders, and crack down on illegals entering the country. But some white conservative christian dude stands up and says illegals should not put their own life and the life of their children at risk entering a country illegally and now that makes me a racist. If I was latino and saying this would I still be racist? Get over yourself cat lady! The majority of Americans agree immigration and border security are an issue we need to deal with. But we cannot make immigration reform until we stop illegals from entering the country... ILLEGALLY.

Emily Merlin listen, you dont think every country has criminals and some dangers? By your philosophy Americans should seek asylum in England because of school shootings, or gang shootings in Chicago. If we let everyone and their mother apply for asylum because of gangs, cartels and corrupt police we would have half of the world here. What does poverty have to do with asylum applications, you act as if there isn't poverty everywhere even in America. So what nonsense am I speaking? This video is about illegals who are caught crossing the border illegally and arrested, and placed in custody while there children are sent to a home or foster care. If a criminal in America is sentenced to prison time, we dont send their children with them do we? So why would we send illegals children to jail with them? What is so hard to understand? All your liberal minds are so blind you cannot see right in front of your face. Common sense people, break the law, go to jail, lose your children. Doesn't matter if your an undocumented or illegal alien, or an American. Go to to jail or prison loose your kids. kimiscool7 first of all dumb as, the illegals who are separated from their children are not asylum seekers, they are illegal aliens who unlawfully crossed the border, hence the 6 month sentances that are being handed down. Now these children are put into shelters or some type of foster care until their criminal parents are reunited with them, which is usually at time of deportation. So next time you wanna spew out your liberal hate and liberal stupidity, make sure you know what your talking about first. If these people crossing the border illegally, and endangering their children's life and safety, know there is a possibility they could be arrested, and sentanced to jail, while there children are removed from their custody. Then there is no one, let me repeat that NO ONE to blame but themselves when the law catches up with them. Asylum seekers, apply for asylum, and wait at the border until a hearing and investigation is conducted, that is something completely different then what we are discussing here. Now before you blab your liberal mouth breathing hot air everywhere, let me ask you this. What happens when a woman and mother in America breaks the law, is found guilty and is sentanced to jail, and has no one to take her children. What happens to those children? Oh they become either a ward of the state, foster care, or adopted, depending on the length of the sentance she receives. Now, a central or south American national illegally crosses the border, breaks the law, is sentanced to 6 months in jail. So is the government just supposed to send her children out back to where they came from without their parents? No that would be irresponsible! So they are taken into custody, and watched over until they are reunited with family. So stop getting your liberal parties in a bunch, ICE and Sessions are doing the propper thing, not out of kindness of their hearts, but out of necessity. By the way jackask, this is the same program started by Obama, so before you go pointing fingers better learn your shit.

What is the world you live in? The free country that allows you to have those nice things you have? Protects you? Feeds you? Gives you that nice job? Please explain what you mean by this world you live in! What is so sad about people having different opinions then other people? I mean isn't that what we identify with is the ideology of being individuals? Shouldn't we all have different opinions, feelings and ideas? OR do you want us all to be robots just walking around agreeing with each other, and living life in a binary fashion? Empathy has no place in law or immigration. The laws are written for immigration to protect the country and are valuable resources. We as a just and civilised society all agree that laws are necessary to protect us. So when parents put their children in danger to cross a border to be arrested and incarcerated until deportation, now we are all evil people with no empathy, making this terrible world you live in! Did I get it right? Or am I missing something? You seem like a smart educated woman! So I know your not ignorant to the fact and idea that we must abide by immigration laws and borders to thus protect our resources, our economy, or jobs market, etc. We just cannot let 10 million people come and go into the country as they please. Most of these families are claiming their lives and their family lives are in danger in their home country and/or they are being persecuted for political or religious reasons and they need to seek asylum. Ok, thats fine, their following the law, they appeared at the border and applied for asylum. So why did these people, pass through one or two other countries only to apply for asylum in the US? Why would you travel thousands of miles and continue to keep your family in danger by traveling, when you are completely safe in Mexico? IF your driving your car, and your low on gas, do you pass the cheaper gas station, knowing you have 10 miles of gas in the tank. Only to travel to the much nicer gas station that is 11 miles down the road? Think about it? Lets call it what it is, the majority, not all, but the majority of these people and families trying to seek asylum or enter the country illegally are only doing so, so that they can live in America, make money, be free. Not because their families life is in danger. In fact you are exposing your family to more danger by traveling to the US through dangerous areas, to only risk their lives and be caught and deported.
