  1. Our national security and border protection is far more important. We all have had some type of sacrifices to make at some point in our lives. The direction of our immigration policies has steadily eroded away at our economy and our national security for far to long. All Americans irregardless of what your political affiliation is, should be hard lining for border protection, immigration reform, status for DACA recipients, and finding away to grant some type of status to the already 18 million undocumented aliens already in America. The shutdown has only been going for a month, and as a rule of living in America the most basic family economics, people should have at least two or three months of expenses saved up, if you dont then something is faulty in your life style. And that is none but your responsibility! I say give the president his money, build hard barriers along the southern border, give DACA some type of protected status, and let's begin working on a way to either grant amnesty of some type to existing undocumented aliens who can positively prove residency here for 5 years. Let them apply for citizenship pay the fees, document themselves, and give them 2 years protected status to either become a citizen or leave the country. Once we document all the aliens then we can come together to create a balanced and fair system to allow immigrants to come here. But this cannot be done, until we raise the funding needed through tax revenues and fees of undocumented people. You cannot have the chicken before the egg.
