@Victor If we apply that kind of logic, I guess that means that Africa should lay claim on everything ever settled because at some point in time it was Africans who spread all over the globe and settled there?

One should maybe remember that back in the day when these lines were written, the enemy was the pagan religions of the land before the advent of Islam. Christianity and Judaism were not supposed to be enemies but the older brothers that came before the youngest brother who was then supposed to lead the progeny of Abraham into the future.
