Very true. That would lend seriousness, instead of these cutsey-pie Desantis labels that pander to right-wing conspiracy theories and only confuse the issues.

Lack of Eugenics, you mean.

He could have brought up the Buzzaro World when Elaine of Seinfeld where she discovers an alternate world of George, Jerry, Kramer, and Newman, where up is down, down is up.
2
Anyone know what honeymoon registry technology company is (they use lower case in their name)?
2
There's a sociopathy to the comments of these right-wingtards that's becoming very evident.
2
Like Clarence Thomas and wife. Both activists, and Clatence Thomas an activist judge
2
It does seem very frivolous of Desantis to call it the the Stop Woke Act. He MUST know such wording will be triggering. And the Left is far better at getting these things dismissed. Seems to me Desantis does this to merely make himself more popular with the unthinking right-wing crowd, and thereby gain the votes, regardless if the Stop Woke Act dies before it's out of the gate. Is he just playing games? He could have called the Act something more to the point, like the Anti-Discriminatoon Act.
2
@TheCharleseye -- Clarence Thomas AND his wife both are activists and BOTH influenced the overturning of Roe. Next he wants to go after gay marriage. And do away with all contraceptions.
2
All the sociopathic Right knows are it's triggered, canned responses. They don't even know the actual issues involved. Their mindless and vituperative responses will do with them. The Republicans indeed have become the Party of the Sociopathic.
2
Dog-piling and gang-banging and shadow mafia tactics -- not Reason or Logic -- is all the Right has. They were never that intelligent.
2
Desantis is labeling his Acts with cutsey-pie names that reflect right-wing conspiracy theories, all for his own gain.
2
The law seeks to determine how all sorts of organizations, including private businesses, can address race, gender and nationality. Just think about that. No wonder this country is so screwed up.
2
See, here's the problem which Styx has knowingly contributed his confusion, deceit, deception, and lies to. This law is OFFICIALLY CALLED THE INDIVIDUAL FREEDOM ACT and signed by Desantis. . Overall it's about how far both businesses and lawmakers can go in taking a stance on divisive social issues — and enforcing certain policies. But Styx won't get his clicks if he put Individual Freedom Act in the title when cutsey-pie lingo that caters to the low IQ will generate tons of clicks and mindless auto-generated FOX News comments to flood and spam the channel and up the algorithm.

@joeystarrett5318 -- Hmm. I would dismiss anything Styx had to say, first of all. Frankly, Tallahassee U.S. District Judge Mark Walker has a point. He said in a 44-page ruling that the “Stop WOKE” act violates the First Amendment and is impermissibly vague. The thing is the cutsey-pie wording of these Desantis bills, designed for maximum triggering on the Left, and maximum votes for his own self on the Right. He seems to be playing with the Law. I could take him seriously if he called it something like the "Anti-Discrimination Act" As things stand, Desantis comes off as a wannabe despot, leading his army of dog pilers and gang bangers. The same reputation Trump has devolved into, much to his ruin. Not good.
2
@joeystarrett5318 -- You don't classify Styx as a know-it-all? Hmmm.
2
This is the FIRST I'm hearing about this Stop Woke Act. Styx provides NO background information. So, is this Stop Woke Act a law that was passed in Florida, which someone then decided to contest?
2
So dog piling and gang banging is the only answer the Right has? Not very intelligent.
2
Desantis and his wording of these bills seems frivolous, but Judge Mark Walker not issuing a stay also seems frivolous. If Judge Walker had issued a "stay", that would keep the law in effect during any appeal by the state. WHAT LAW are we talking about here? The Stop WOKE Act or Judge Walker's ruling? Judge Walker ruled that the “Stop WOKE” act violates the First Amendment and is impermissibly vague. I agree. Desantis seems to be wording his bills for maximum effect with the unthinking Right to gain the maximum votes. Looks to me like he's merely playing with the Law. If he were serious he would call these bills something that reflects Reason, like the Anti-Discrimination Act, and leave off the cutsey-pie lingo.
2
Do you have a reference to back up that Judge Walker is the most overturned judge in the country?
2
It's come to this in the United States. A future ruling by SCOTUS that whites are now officially equal to blacks, browns, and Asians and no longer have to feel bad about themselves. 😂😂😂
2
The usual deluge of mindless FOX News auto generated bots flooding and spamming. Nothing to read here.
2
Prime Example: Clarence Thomas and his wife

For some reason YouTube blocks the naming of those businesses petitioning against the Stop Woke Act. The information is already online. It's like only 5 entities.

And the right-wingtard conspiracy theorists have orgasms over it

The ACLU, ACLU of Florida and Legal Defense Fund on Thursday filed another lawsuit in federal challenging the “anti-woke” legislation on behalf of students and educators.

Mentioning Ben & Jerry's is a HUGE NO-NO

There seems to be some confusion about what this Stop WOKE Act is actually about. “This bill’s not for Blacks, this bill was not for any other race,” State Senator Shevrin Jones said in January. “This was directed to make whites not feel bad about what happened years ago. At no point did anyone say white people should be held responsible for what happened, but what I would ask my white counterparts is, are you an enabler of what happened, or are you going to say we must talk about history?” SO THAT'S IT? THE BILL IS AIMED AT WHITES NOT FEELING BAD ABOUT THEMSELVES? ???
1
I can agree with that. Teaching employees about social justice has nothing to do with a job -- unless whites want to have it rationalized why they should give up their jobs to minorities. Teaching social justice to employees is,way out of bounds.
1
Clatence Thomas is an activist judge. His wife is an activist too. Both need to be gotten rid of. That's not SCOUT'S job.
1
@dustinnukem5458 -- Everything Desantis does is sociopathic right-wing. It's in the way he does things, he wants the triggering on the Right which translates into votes for him. He has wannabe dreams of being a despot in the White House. Listen to the Right, and go right to the mental hospital.
1
@dustinnukem5458 -- Lauren Boebert, Marjorie Taylor Green, Sarah Palin, Josh Hawley, Clarence Thomas and wife, Kandiss Taylor of the Georgia Guidestones. To name a few.
1
Impeach Clarence Thomas, the activist judge!

For some reason YouTube blocks the naming of those businesses petitioning against the Stop Woke Act. I'll try a different way: A group of businesses — - honeymoon registry technology company , - Honeyfund.com , and - Florida-based Ben & Jerry’s franchisee Primo Tampa, - along with workplace diversity consultancy Collective Concepts - and its co-founder Chevara Orrin

I'm on the fence on this one. It does seem to me, however, that this Stop WOKE Act equates to censorship on some level, by having a chilling effect even talking about history, which, frankly, I am tired of myself.
1
JRC3 -- You're just plain stupid. I can see that.
1
Which is why I have to wonder why Desantis can't word a new Act along the lines of the civil rights act, instead of coming up with something cutsey-pie that references conspiracy theories.
1
So Styx is saying a higher- court will uphold the activist judge's ruling? I'm confused, and Styx isn't helping any. Would someone translate the gobbledigook, please?

Catch this 💣

The Right just loves it's vulgar and nasty comments. Even FOX News goes in for this sort of thing too! It's how they pretend to hold the high moral ground.
1
You people are really, REALLY, STUPID.
1
Did Desantis get his Don't Say Gay Act passed, or what?
1
What Republican/Conservative entities are suing the Minnesota Public Schools Dept. for discrimination, bigotry, and racism?
1
@nunereclipsereborn -- Well, it's just the Left-Right Paradigm, and it goes to show the Right are just as bigoted,, prejudiced, and phoney, etc., and are no saints as they want the people to believe they are.
1
Attorneys for the state and DeSantis in court pushed for Walker to throw out the case and dismiss the Republican governor as a defendant in the lawsuit, arguing that the “anti-woke” law restricts no speech and only regulates that employers can’t force employees to listen to “certain speech against their will” at the risk of losing their jobs. It seems reasonable to resist offensive speech. Blacks do it all the time. Why can't whites? Remember just recently in the news there was a to-do about a demand that whites be fired first. Can you imagine the brazenness of such a demand? No doubt the demand was based on "white privilege".
1
When did this Stop Woke Act even become a law in Florida? Is FOX News hiding things from its viewers?
1
@williamsmith9026 -- Like everything else, I presume some group or person decided to sue and challenge the law.
1
So dog piling and gang banging is how the Right works now? Not very intelligent.
