Aquaculture production in Denmark concentrates mainly on rainbow trout, farmed in freshwater ponds. Denmark is also an exporter of quality rainbow trout eggs and fish feed for various species. Blue mussels, sea trout, chars and pike perch are produced in small quantities.

  11. While CNN and MSNBC covered the 7 dead and 30+ wounded in Illinois, FOX News had a lengthy piece interviewing the Florian man who killed a neighbors rooster. The dirt bag was arrested, so of COURSE FOX News took his side. FOX News thinks it holds the High Moral Ground.

  12. Compared to the oil-rich and futuristic States of Qatar, the West looks downright shabby. It's capital, Doha, known for its futuristic skyscrapers and other ultramodern architecture inspired by ancient Islamic design, would send Christians screaming and seeing all sorts of devilish Illuminati symbols.   13. The Calvinists of Denmark were very repressive at one time and running the show. There was nothing tolerant about the Calvinists. England had sense enough to kick them out: Calvinism spread into England, Scotland, France, the Netherlands, the English-speaking colonies of North America, and parts of Germany and central Europe. But I don't understand how or when Calvinist lost favor in Denmark. It was so entrenched at one time.

  20. Chefs everywhere are redefining how we eat. Some food researchers are breaking down a food -- say peas -- to look at the component parts of what constitutes a pea. Then reassembling the component parts in an imaginative way, like taking the resulting pea paste and putting it on a cracker. Not a bad idea really. Or, they take a bagel "with everything", liquefy it, then reassemble it somehow into a drinkable drink. The person drinking it (Andrew Zimmern) swears it tastes just like an actual bagel, but without the chew. The drink itself is gelatinous, which lends itself to creating designs inside the glass. Like using an eyedropper to make a design with squid ink, then maybe adding some tastefully placed roe eggs. Looked interesting, I guess. Innovative, anyway. I saw this on Andrew Zimmern's Bizarre Food Destinations. He was IMPRESSED with the research they were doing.
