What exactly is The One Truth? Can it be stated leaving out religious fantasies?

Nothing New Under the Sun Dept.: The Decadent movement was a late-19th-century artistic and literary movement, centered in Western Europe, that followed an aesthetic ideology of excess and artificiality. The visual artist Félicien Rops's body of work and Joris-Karl Huysmans's novel Against Nature (1884) are considered the prime examples of the decadent movement.[citation needed] It first flourished in France and then spread throughout Europe and to the United States.[1] The movement was characterized by self-disgust, sickness at the world, general skepticism, delight in perversion, and employment of crude humor and a belief in the superiority of human creativity over logic and the natural world.[2][3] Central to the decadent movement was the view that art is totally opposed to nature in the sense both of biological nature and of the standard, or "natural", norms of morality and sexual behaviour.

@garretteckhardt8036 - The Old Testament and New Testament are compilations from different writers at different times, so I would think that yes, people can pick and choose. It was only the First (or Second) Council of Niceea that determined what writings got into the New Testament. The First Council of Nicaea was a council of Christian bishops convened in the Bithynian city of Nicaea (now İznik, Turkey) by the Roman Emperor Constantine I in AD 325. This ecumenical council was the first effort to attain consensus in the church through an assembly representing all Christendom. It's all man made, so yes, people can pick and choose, and even create their own sects.

I get SS. It's not much, but it helps.

My problem with this business of what's moral is that it stems from religious puritanism.
